Here are five rocky mountain adaptors, animals that accommodate in order to survive the cold, harsh winters of the Rocky Mountains.  I wonder if you know all of them?

This is my third and final of three posts about different animals that use 1 of the three main strategies to survive winter.  Some animals hibernate, others migrate, and other adapt in order to survive wintertime.  The five animals that I am list here all share the strategy of accommodation.  They may all adapt to survive winter, but there are different ways of doing so.

Adaptation As A Wintertime Survival Strategy

Adaptation is a wintertime survival strategy whereby animals alter something about their beliefs or their physical advent to survive winter.  They still alive in the same areas that they live during summertime, but they have changed something in club to assistance them live in the snowfall and cold.

These animals, unlike hibernators, are non sleeping or resting out the common cold, simply remain active all winter long.  They are still actively looking for food.
